Chuck Lee
Chuck Lee is a professor of History at the University of Wisconsin – La Crosse. He and his wife, Linda, who is Director of Nutrition Services in the La Crosse County Health Department, are veterans of every environmental organization and club in town. They moved here in 1982 from Buffalo, New York, where Chuck had been a grad student and Linda taught high school. He hails from Iowa and she from Long Island, New York. Happily, the Coulee Region is home. Chuck is a charter member of the MVC Board of Directors. He is also active with the La Crosse River Marsh Coalition, which is working to save the La Crosse River Marsh from development. Years ago, he did a stint as the president of the Coulee Region Sierra Club. Environmental activism, in its many forms, has been a constant feature in Wisconsin for Chuck and Linda.
