A tour of Kickapoo Caverns nature preserve

On July 13th, guided cave tours at Mississippi Valley Conservancy’s Kickapoo Caverns nature preserve will be offered to share information about the beneficial role of bats and the importance of protecting their native habitats. Kickapoo Caverns, an 83-acre nature preserve near Wauzeka, includes one of Wisconsin’s longest cavern systems that serves as hibernation site for several bat species. Join our trained experts who will help you understand the critical role habitat plays in the success of the bat population, and why this cave system is so critical to their survival.

Watch our Facebook and Instagram pages for notice of when registration opens for this popular tour!  ADVANCE REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED for this FREE event by July 3 on the events page.

This event is part of the Conservancy’s 2024 “Linked to the Land” series of outdoor experiences on the many nature preserves it protects for wildlife habitat, scenic beauty, outdoor learning and recreation in the Driftless Area. The program is generously sponsored by Olson Solar Energy and WXOW News19.
